Lois, the founder of NoN, was born and raised in Rome, started studying jazz singing at the age of 16, inspired by the saxophone her father brought from New York. She participated to many bands from trip-hop, to punk-rock, to jazz. At her early 20s she started writing her own music first using the voice, then the guitar and then exploring infinite instruments through the use of the computer.
